Preparation
To ensure the best results, follow these preparation guidelines:
- Shave the Area: Shave the treatment area one day before your appointment (excluding the female facial area, knees, and elbows).
- Wait After Waxing or Laser Hair Removal: If you’ve recently waxed or had laser hair removal, wait at least one week before your Carbon Laser Treatment.
- Avoid Sun Exposure: Avoid full sun exposure for two weeks before and after your treatment.
- Remove Fake Tan: Ensure any fake tan is completely removed two weeks before your appointment.

Combining Laser Hair Removal with PicoWay Carbon Laser Treatments
Seamless Integration with Laser Hair Removal
While Pico lasers are highly effective for pigmentation, rejuvenation, and tattoo removal, they do not perform hair removal. If you wish to combine laser hair removal with Pico Carbon Laser treatments, here’s the optimal approach:
- Laser Hair Removal should be performed at least one week before starting Pico Carbon Laser treatments on the same area. This gives the skin time to recover and ensures smooth integration without irritation.
- Hair growth inhibition during the PicoWay laser treatment course may be incidental due to skin improvement, but the PicoWay laser itself does not target or remove hair like an Q-Switched Nd:YAG laser would.
- For dedicated hair removal, continue with your Nd:YAG or diode laser hair removal sessions separately. Any remaining hair will require these specific lasers for effective removal.
Following these guidelines ensures that both treatments complement each other without interference.
